i chose the quote "drawing interconnects us with our ancestors in a larger sense: it is there in all traces of human activity and presence..." this really struck me because it got me thinking and connecting to the lessons in art history. throughout every time period humans have always made art work or drawings. in the neolithic era it was simply either a way of communicating or worshiping and as humans evolved so did their art and so on and so forth. each older generation  having a great influence on the next generation and each new generation discovering and advancing past the previous. this cycle interests me greatly.
i feel that these specific pieces from my favorite artist (easo andrews) represent good drawing. and just like our previous generation (easo) i hope to learn from them and discover a style of my own to pass on as well.
