I make a lot of changes. I don’t know where I’m going; I don’t have a final image in my head, but rather a broad idea, and a feeling I’m after, a kind of intensity - Anne Harris
i found anne harris's work to be the most appealing out of the artists selected. i think of a very eery dark place when i see her self portrait as well as her other works all very similar.
i tend to gravitate towards dark (in content and style) paintings or drawings. anything that has no real atmosphere but at the same time allows the viewer to create it themselves and isnt always the brightest of places. her very limited use of line if you could even call it that really help to add an all around atmospheric feel of ethereal to all of her portraits and paintings which for me pushes the eeriness.
